Guar Gum is used in oil well drilling mud’s, which give a better colloid thereby reducing water losses. It regulates the viscosity of mud solution, stabilizes and regulates the flow properties of the drilling muds.

Guar gum helps to reduce friction in the holes, and so minimizing power requirements. Guar Gum products act to minimize water loss should occur in broken geological formations. Fast hydration guar gum powder is also knows as fast hydrating guar gum powder, diesel slurry guar gum, rapid hydration guar gum powder, quick hydration guar gum powder, quick hydrating guar gum powder, rapid hydrating guar gum powder.

Fast hydration guar gum powder is a specially processed product having fast hydration characteristics.  This property is exclusively exploited in oil well drilling operations and hence it is  known as fast hydration guar gum powder  (FHGP) and also as diesel slurry guar gum.   In contrast to regular guar gum products which fully hydrate in 4-6 hrs, FHGP hydrates in 2 hrs and gives almost 90% attainable viscosity in  few minutes. The fast hydration characteristics are of most importance as they hastens the  drilling operations. 

We offer FHFG  which is a guar based with no other additives. The product can be easily slurried with diesel with varying concentration ( 45-50%).    It is compatible with saline solutions and in aqueous form, it is used to stimulates oil and gas wells as a fracturing fluid.

In presence of multivalent cations its viscosity increases due to cross linking , particularly so in presence of Borates – so much so that at higher borate concentrations it forms an elastic gel.  Aqueous dispersion of  -------- have excellent  pumpability,  thermal stability and  shell life.   The cross linked products are excellent in carrying  support sand or other propanants to be placed in the created fracture.   The product in aqueous forms are susceptible to chemical degradation in presence of enzymes, oxidizers and high acid concentrations.
