Lehenga is the skirt-like lower half of this ethnic outfit. It is flared and is often created in bias-cut styles or with panels or Kallis and sometimes even pleated or gathered. Held in place by a drawstring (nada) or belt at the waist, it is generally form-fitting at its upper end and flares at the hem. Fish-cut designs have a fitted silhouette till knees and then a tail-like flare.
