Dog Chain
Chains with dogs provide a positive locking connection when piece goods are transported.
During conveyance the dog chain is in an upright position and pushes forward the item in front of it at chain speed in a positive locking connection. In the deflection phase around the sprocket, the short chain piece between the two connections of the pusher dog describe an arc and cause the pusher dog to be tilted in anti-conveying direction. Thus the dog chain submerges under the transported material without damaging it.
